Galatasaray beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 on Monday in a ninth-round match of Türkiye's football championship. The game was played at Galatasaray's home stadium, RAMS Park, in Istanbul.
Striker Victor Osimhen scored both goals for the hosts. In the 29th minute, he ran through on goal after a pass from Barış Alper Yılmaz, while in the 44th minute he headed in a cross from Davinson Sánchez. İrfan Can Kahveci scored Fenerbahçe's only goal in the 62nd minute.

Russian midfielder Aleksey Batrakov started for Galatasaray and played in his first Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe. In the first half, Osimhen took a shot after Batrakov's pass, but goalkeeper Ederson tipped it over for a corner. In added time before the break, Batrakov himself shot from just outside the left corner of the penalty area, but Ederson saved it.
Batrakov joined Galatasaray from Moscow's Lokomotiv on August 20, signing a five-year contract. Before the derby, he had made nine appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists. After the victory, Galatasaray moved to 22 points, six ahead of Fenerbahçe.
