Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that the Ukrainian and Slovak governments will meet in Lviv on 5 November for joint consultations.
Fico announced the date and venue of the meeting during a discussion with members of parliament. The joint meeting between the two governments is therefore planned to take place in the Ukrainian city of Lviv.

Land transport and border crossings on the agenda
The meeting is expected to address the development of land transport between Ukraine and Slovakia and the expansion of border crossings. Fico had previously said that these issues would be among the main items on the agenda of the joint government meeting.
In a statement in May, the Slovak prime minister said the meeting was planned to be held in Bratislava or Kyiv by the end of June. However, the meeting did not take place by that date.

Decision on Lviv had been announced earlier
The Slovak Foreign Ministry later announced that it had been decided to hold the joint consultations in Lviv. The ministry said that discussions on the date of the meeting were still ongoing.
