A program for teaching Arabic in schools across Russia has been approved. It was announced that the program will begin implementation from the start of the new academic year on September 1.
Russian Federation Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov said the decision was announced at a working meeting held in Moscow. The meeting was dedicated to the activities of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Center, which operates under the Primakov Regional Lyceum.
Kravtsov also stated that the ministry has translated Russian folk tales, a book about Russia, and works by Russian authors into Arabic and delivered them to the United Arab Emirates.
It was reported that the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Center was established in October 2024 on the instruction of the Russian President, with the aim of strengthening educational cooperation between Russia and the UAE. The center also aims to support the learning of the two countries' languages, foster creativity among children and adults, and promote intercultural communication.
