VK Dating and package tour booking service Onlinetours examined the travel habits of different name groups and the relationship between those habits and preferences for meeting people. The results showed that Aleksandrs had the highest average number of trips per person among men, while Natalyas led among women.
Data covering the period from September 2024 to September 15, 2026 showed that Aleksandrs took an average of 1.86 trips. Among women, Natalyas ranked first with an average of 2.36 trips per person.
Average number of trips by name group
Among men, Aleksandrs were followed by Dmitris, Sergeys, Alekseys and Andreis. The average number of trips per person in these groups ranged from 1.77 to 1.72.
Participants were also asked which name belonged to the person most likely to enjoy traveling. In responses to the open-ended question, Aleksandr was again the name that stood out most among men.

Among women, Yelenas followed Natalyas with an average of 2.31 trips, while Yekaterinas averaged 2.21. To ensure that the prevalence of names in society did not affect the results, the study considered the number of trips per person rather than the total number of tourists.
Travel frequency changed the spending rankings
The name groups that traveled most frequently did not overlap with those that had the highest holiday spending. Among men, the highest average spending, approximately 213,000 rubles, was recorded for the Mikhail group. They were followed by Artems at 211,000 rubles, Maksims at 206,000 rubles and Andreis at 204,000 rubles.
Aleksandrs spent an average of approximately 198,000 rubles per trip. Among women, the highest average spending was recorded for Marias, at approximately 198,000 rubles. Natalyas, who ranked first in travel frequency, had an average spending level of approximately 184,000 rubles.
Türkiye was the top foreign destination across all name groups
Türkiye was the shared choice of male and female name groups for international travel. It ranked first as the most frequently chosen foreign country for both men and women in the study.

The groups also shared a preference in their accommodation choices. Five-star hotels were the most sought-after category among all male and female name groups.
Travel preferences influenced the desire to meet people
The survey also measured how much importance placed on travel affected the desire to meet new people. Half of the participants said that someone who enjoys traveling is more likely to want to meet someone.
Among female participants, 58% shared this view, compared with 34% of male participants. More than 1,600 people took part in the survey. The tourism data was compiled from anonymized travel records of Onlinetours customers.
