Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell. The meeting focused on the continuity of support for Ukraine and regional developments.
In a post on his social media account, Zelenskiy said they discussed the situation on the front line, developments in Russian-controlled territories, and the fuel shortage in Russia.
The Ukrainian leader said, "It is important that our partners appreciate Ukraine's successes on the front line, the results of our missile strikes and diplomatic initiatives."
The talks also placed special emphasis on preparations for the NATO summit to be held in Ankara and diplomatic efforts to achieve lasting peace. Possible negotiation formats and steps to accelerate the process were discussed.
Zelenskiy also expressed gratitude for the UK's decision on a new support package worth approximately 290 million pounds.
