Edgard Zapashny said they regularly received calls from Ukraine and that some circus artists were ready to work in Russia.
The director general of the Great Moscow Circus said that, as the organizer of the Idol Festival held in Moscow, he had not encouraged those individuals to come to Russia for now. Zapashny said communication with the artists was continuing and that he had asked them to wait.

Zapashny argued that Ukrainian artists coming to Russia would be a courageous and heroic step for them. However, he said he believed Ukraine would not forgive them for making that decision.
Claiming that Ukraine was increasingly resembling a "terrorist state," Zapashny said he was concerned for the lives of Ukrainian artists who wanted to visit Russia.
