A 1 million-ruble reward program has been launched for reserve personnel serving against enemy UAVs in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
A regional decree cited by TASS says the payment will be made to reserve personnel serving in mobile fire teams in Yamal. The 1 million rubles will be divided equally among team members on condition that the downed UAV causes no damage to local infrastructure.
The announced sum is the highest publicly disclosed reward in Russia’s regions for downing Ukrainian UAVs. Rewards in other regions range from 20,000 to 200,000 rubles.

Located approximately 2,200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, Yamalo-Nenets is known for its natural gas resources. The first attack on the region by Ukrainian UAVs occurred in early September.
A soldier in Chechnya was also allegedly awarded a one-time payment of 1 million rubles last December.
