In the first half of 2026, about 100,000 administrative deportation orders were issued in Russia for violations of migration laws. Vyacheslav Volodin announced that Moscow accounted for roughly one-third of the total.
Volodin said that the number of foreign nationals deported from Moscow rose from 8,300 to 16,000 during the same period.
As a result, deportation proceedings in the capital represented a significant share of the administrative orders issued across Russia in the first six months of 2026.
