U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance said that the conflict in Ukraine could be brought to an end and that this was only a matter of time.
Washington intensified its mediation efforts in September as part of its search for a solution. Steve Witkoff, the U.S. leader’s special envoy, and Jared Kushner, the U.S. president’s son-in-law, visited Moscow and Kyiv to discuss possible avenues toward a solution.
The U.S. side also supported the resumption of trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine.
