Türkiye raises feature film production support by 42% to 412.9 million lira
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said state support for feature film production rose 42% in 2026 to 412.9 million lira.
Türkiye's Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said support for feature film production was increased by 42% in 2026 to 412.9 million lira. With the latest decision, 22 more projects will receive 180.4 million lira, bringing the number of projects supported this year to 49.
Under the Cinema Support Board decision No. 2026/6, six first feature films, 12 feature films, one post-production project and three co-productions will be funded. They include new films by Zeki Demirkubuz and Reha Erdem as well as work by young directors.
One of the international co-productions receiving support is "The Trap," written and directed by Palestinian actor and director Tawfeek Barhom, with Türkiye's Alaz Film as a partner.
