Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that US President Donald Trump has agreed to grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot air defense systems. Zelenskiy reported that an agreement was reached on this issue during a meeting at the White House.
Speaking to Fox News, the Ukrainian leader said they discussed Patriot production licenses with Trump during the NATO Summit held in Ankara. Zelenskiy said, "This is important because we need more and we need it faster."

Zelenskiy said they also met with representatives of leading US defense companies to evaluate joint production possibilities. "I hope we will have joint production," the Ukrainian president said, conveying Trump's positive stance on granting the license.
US President Donald Trump, during his earlier meeting with Zelenskiy on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara, had said, "We will give Ukraine the right to produce Patriots and show them how to do it. We will license you to produce Patriots."
