A major power outage hit Georgia for the second time in two days. The nationwide fault on Saturday morning came after an outage on Friday night.
In a statement, the State Electricity System of Georgia said that immediately after the fault was identified, efforts began to bring the energy system back online. It added that thanks to intensive and coordinated work, power was gradually restored to consumers as quickly as possible.
The company announced that electricity supply had fully returned to normal across the country. However, experts are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the outages. Authorities said additional information would be shared once the investigation is complete.
