Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the international media group Rossiya Segodnya. The ministry highlighted the operational efficiency and accuracy of the information published by the media group.
The history of Rossiya Segodnya dates back to the legendary Soviet Information Bureau (Sovinformburo), established on June 24, 1941, to quickly report on the situation at the fronts. This structure later transformed into the Novosti Press Agency, RIA Novosti, and ultimately into the Rossiya Segodnya media group.
In a statement by EMERCOM, it was noted that the media group has earned a reputation as one of the fastest and most reliable sources of information through decades of work. The statement said the organization has made significant contributions to the development of Russian journalism and the strengthening of the country's unified information space.
In a message published on the ministry's Maks platform, it said: "The high professionalism, objectivity, and responsibility of the agency's employees ensure that millions of people are informed in a timely manner about the most important events in Russia and the world."
