A Russian attack on Sunday hit the road surface of Kyiv’s North Bridge over the Dnipro, damaging the road and the hot water supply in the area, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. The strike came soon after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived on an unannounced visit. "We will not be intimidated. Nor will we be intimidated by a drone attack occurring at the very time of our visit," said Merz, who announced about €1 billion in military aid.
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed the North Bridge was used to move troops and military cargo. The ministry said two dry cargo ships allegedly carrying military equipment to the port of Odesa were also hit in the northwestern Black Sea, and that a Nova Poshta logistics center in Chornomorsk and a data center in Odesa were targeted. The claims made by the sides about strikes and interceptions could not be independently verified.
