Russian Ambassador Vershinin meets Turkish lawmakers who observed Duma elections
Russian Ambassador to Türkiye Sergei Vershinin met members of the Turkish parliament who observed Russia’s State Duma elections held on Sept. 18-20, 2026.
Russian Ambassador to Türkiye Sergei Vershinin met on Oct. 7 with members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye who took part as observers in the elections to Russia’s ninth State Duma, held on Sept. 18-20, 2026.
The two sides discussed the main areas of Russian-Turkish inter-parliamentary cooperation and general issues related to the work of election commissions, including ensuring a high level of technology and transparency in the electoral process.
They reaffirmed the importance of continuing and further developing parliamentary dialogue between Russia and Türkiye.
