Russia says targets around Kyiv and Odesa were struck
Russia’s Defence Ministry said a bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, along with several targets in and around Kyiv and Odesa, had been struck. The ministry also said air defence systems had neutralised 646 Ukrainian UAVs in various regions.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said a bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv was struck during overnight attacks. The ministry claimed that the bridge was used to transport troops and military equipment to Ukrainian forces in Donbas.
Port complex in the Odesa region
The ministry said an industrial complex at the Port of Izmail in the Odesa region was also struck. The facility was used to receive, store and transport military cargo and fuel for the Ukrainian army.
The ministry said a dry cargo vessel sailing in the Black Sea was also targeted. The vessel was carrying military equipment and dual-use cargo for the Ukrainian army to the Port of Odesa.
Power facility in the Kyiv region
Russia’s Defence Ministry also said the Kyivskaya electrical substation in the settlement of Nalivaykovka in the Kyiv region had been targeted. The ministry said the facility supplied electricity to defence industry enterprises in Kyiv and the surrounding area.
Statement on 646 Ukrainian UAVs
The ministry also said Russian air defence systems had neutralised 646 Ukrainian UAVs in various regions between 8 p.m. yesterday and 8 a.m. this morning.
