The Free Trade Agreement between Türkiye and Ukraine, drawn up with the aim of increasing bilateral trade volume to $10 billion in the short term, entered into force on October 1, 2026. The agreement was signed on February 3, 2022.
Customs duty arrangements for trade in goods will take effect on January 1, 2027. The arrangements are intended to ensure that trade between the two countries continues under more predictable rules.

Trade and transport rules expanded
Drawn up with consideration for the parties' sensitive sectors, the agreement regulates not only trade in goods but also services, investment, e-commerce, trade facilitation and customs cooperation.

Provisions allowing bilateral and transit transport without quotas are intended to support commercial flows. Entering into force as Ukraine advances its economic integration with the European Union, the agreement provides a framework for Turkish and Ukrainian businesses to maintain their preferential trade opportunities.
The arrangements are expected to give businesses in both countries a competitive advantage over suppliers from third countries.
