Agricultural trade between Russia and Türkiye reached approximately $6 billion last year. Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut said in a speech at the 2nd International Forum on Veterinary Safety in Moscow that the two countries complement each other in agriculture.
Lut said agricultural trade between the two countries was continuing steadily, adding that Russia's agricultural exports to Türkiye were slightly higher than Türkiye's exports to Russia.
Mutual trade in agricultural products
Lut said Russia mainly sends grains, oilseeds and oil products to Türkiye, while it primarily imports fruits and vegetables from Türkiye.
Noting that the two countries trade with each other in different product groups, Lut described Turkish partners as stable partners for Russia.
Lut expressed hope that cooperation, trade and friendship between Russia and Türkiye would continue.
