Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak held a meeting to discuss the situation on the fuel market. The statement released after the meeting emphasized that fuel deliveries to the northern regions must be considered a priority.
According to a statement published on the Telegram channel of the Russian Government Press Service on Wednesday, June 24, the meeting's main agenda item was the organization of fuel supply under the "northern delivery" program. The meeting noted that this issue is of vital importance due to the geographical location of remote areas, seasonal restrictions, and the need for the timely creation of reserves to ensure stable life support.
Participants also assessed the current situation on the fuel market. Industry representatives provided information on implemented and planned measures to support the domestic market, ensure stable supply, and meet the demand of all consumer groups.
As a result of the meeting, Novak instructed relevant agencies to provide priority support to regions whose logistics depend on natural and seasonal factors. Additionally, he noted that industry companies and regional authorities must regularly submit updated data on the fuel situation. Novak stated, "This is necessary for a detailed assessment of market processes and for prompt decision-making."
