Rosatom: IAEA expert rotation at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant completed despite drone threat
Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev announced that the 34th IAEA expert rotation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant was completed without incident under the risk of drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the 35th team has arrived at the plant.
Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev announced the completion of a new rotation of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).
In a statement to journalists, Likhachev said: "The 34th rotation was carried out, and the 35th IAEA expert team arrived at the station yesterday. Around midnight, the previous team left, crossed the Crimean Bridge, and is now returning home. Despite intense drone activity, the rotation passed without incident."
Likhachev added that the new IAEA representatives have begun to adapt to the environment, delve deeply into the issues, and establish information bridges with the IAEA headquarters.
