Treatment continues in hospital for People's Artist of the USSR and renowned conductor Vladimir Spivakov. The artist's wife, Sati Spivakova, told RIA Novosti that Spivakov's health is good and that his discharge will take place soon.
Sati Spivakova stated, "Everything is fine, Vladimir Teodorovich is recovering and regaining his strength. I believe the discharge is planned for a few days' time."
Stroke suspicion not confirmed
Last weekend, Metropolitan Hilarion announced that Spivakov had been hospitalized on suspicion of a stroke. In a later statement, Hilarion noted that the stroke suspicion was not confirmed, but that the artist remains in hospital.
Sati Spivakova, for her part, relayed that her husband did not have a suspected stroke, and that doctors' assessments identified a minor health issue that could be easily resolved.
