Putin calls for equal access to energy and medicines at youth festival
Russian President Vladimir Putin called for equal access to medicines, food, water and energy in a video message to participants of the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg. The festival, held from September 11 to 17, is attended by 10,000 people from 191 countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video message to young people participating in the International Youth Festival that all peoples should have equal access to medicines, food, water and energy.
Putin delivers message on shared development
Putin said that peoples should be free to determine their own paths of development. He also said that access to education opportunities and the latest technologies should be available to everyone.
The Russian president called on young people from different countries who share the same goals to work together. Putin said they would be pleased to welcome young people who take part in projects in Russia and noted that they wanted them to contribute to building a shared, open and fair world in their own countries as well.
10,000 people from 191 countries attend the event
The International Youth Festival is being held in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17. A total of 10,000 people from 191 countries are participating in the festival program.
