Yevgeny Tishkovets said Moscow would experience seven days of persistently overcast and gloomy weather. According to the chief expert at the Phobos Weather Center, the amount of precipitation expected in the city next week could reach about 75% of the monthly norm.
The precipitation is expected to turn into heavy showers, particularly on Tuesday and Thursday. Total rainfall over those 48 hours is forecast to reach 44-49 millimeters.
Forecasts indicate that up to five buckets of rainwater could fall on every square meter in Moscow next week. Humidity in the city is expected to rise to 90-100% along with the rain.
The weather is expected to be harsh and windy, with strong winds also triggering leaf fall.
Nighttime temperatures in Moscow are forecast to remain between 6 and 11 degrees, while daytime temperatures are expected to range from 11 to 16 degrees.
