Two concerts that U.S. rapper Kanye West was expected to perform in St. Petersburg in October have been removed from his world tour schedule.
The nearest show listed on the tour calendar is scheduled for October 24 in Jakarta. Several concerts planned afterward in the United States remain on the schedule.
St. Petersburg shows removed from schedule
Two shows had previously been scheduled at Gazprom Arena for October 10 and 11. The ticket purchase option directed users to the Russian-language website of Say Agency, the concert organizer.
Say Agency announced in mid-August that Kanye West would perform at Gazprom Arena on those dates. However, the arena management said that no rental agreement had been signed for the concert and that the event could not take place at the venue.
Anna Subcheva, the general director of the agency organizing the concerts, also said at the beginning of September that there were no plans to cancel West’s St. Petersburg shows or move them to another date or venue.
