Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large, said that logistics hubs and ports in Ukraine, as well as vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, were targeted on the night of September 15.
According to Miroshnik, some ports, border crossings and logistics hubs in Ukraine are being used for military purposes. The Russian diplomat defended the attacks on those grounds.
The statement also claimed that military aid provided to Ukraine by the West is delivered through logistics hubs and ports.
Claims about the military attacks and the nature of the targets have not been independently verified. The scope, targets and consequences of the attacks therefore remain uncertain.
