Traffic was restricted on Kyiv’s Northern Road Bridge over the Dnipro River after the bridge was damaged. Russia’s Defense Ministry said attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles had targeted transport and logistics infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
The ministry said the Northern Road Bridge was struck on Saturday night. It alleged that the bridge was a logistics route used to transport troops and military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Roadway and trolleybus network damaged on bridge
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the attack damaged the bridge’s road surface and the contact network used by trolleybuses.

Klitschko announced that traffic across the Northern Bridge from the left bank to the right bank had been closed.
Gostomel logistics center also targeted
Russia’s Defense Ministry said the Gostomel logistics center in the Kyiv region was also among the targets of the attack. The ministry alleged that the center contained supplies used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The statement also said that a dry cargo ship heading toward the Port of Odesa was struck in a sea passage in the northwestern Black Sea. It alleged that the ship was carrying dual-use cargo intended for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Critical infrastructure alert in Kyiv
Klitschko said Kyiv was facing a severe situation in which critical infrastructure, logistics facilities, residential buildings and social facilities were being targeted.
The Kyiv mayor had previously said that the city’s Southern Bridge had also been attacked.
