Russian President Vladimir Putin evaluated Russia's position in the global competition of artificial intelligence technologies at the Eurasian Economic Forum held in Astana. Putin stated that sovereign platforms in the field of artificial intelligence are being developed in the country and that competition in this area is rapidly increasing among states and international companies. Among Russia's advantages in artificial intelligence development are deep knowledge, qualified human resources, and a strong energy infrastructure. Especially nuclear energy technologies and large power plants stand out among these advantages. Additionally, Putin expressed that Russia's capacity to finance artificial intelligence projects is also an important competitive factor. Putin noted that artificial intelligence has already begun to replace lower-level workers in some job sectors, stating that this process is inevitable and that mid-level personnel may also give way to artificial intelligence. He emphasized that these changes should be considered an opportunity for economic growth. Putin also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, noting that Russia brings together science, business, and academia through international alliances it has established and conferences it has organized in this regard. He added that Russia is conducting national and sectoral programs aimed at applying artificial intelligence in healthcare and many other sectors.
