Güler to attend trilateral defense ministers’ meeting in Azerbaijan
Türkiye’s Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and the Turkish Armed Forces’ senior command have traveled to Shusha, Azerbaijan, for the Distinguished Observers Day of the Power of Unity-2026 exercise. After the event, Güler will attend a trilateral meeting of the defense ministers of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Türkiye’s defense leadership has arrived in Shusha as part of the Power of Unity-2026 exercise, organized by Azerbaijan with the participation of Türkiye and Uzbekistan. Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and the Turkish Armed Forces’ senior command will attend the exercise’s Distinguished Observers Day events.
Güler was accompanied in Azerbaijan’s Shusha by Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu and Air Forces Commander General Rafet Dalkıran.
Defense ministers of three countries to meet
After the Distinguished Observers Day program concludes, Güler will take part in a trilateral meeting of the defense ministers of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
ADEX 2026 program
The Chief of General Staff and the service commanders will visit the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX 2026 after the exercise events.
Yaşar Güler is scheduled to visit ADEX 2026 on October 2 to inspect the products displayed at the exhibition.
