Export ban and tax incentives to secure fuel supplies
After fuel supply disruptions occurred in Russia during the summer, the government banned fuel exports to improve market conditions. Tax incentives were also provided to increase imports and domestic production.
At the beginning of August, the Russian authorities reached an agreement with oil companies to increase fuel supplies to filling stations through regional operators. The arrangement also provided for fuel supplies to independent filling stations.
