In Russia, former Ak Bars hockey player Artem Lukoyanov was freed from a debt burden exceeding 33 million rubles thanks to a court bankruptcy ruling. According to bailiff documents, 12 separate enforcement proceedings were initiated against the athlete from August 2023, with total debt reaching 33.8 million rubles.
Between June and December 2025, 10 of these proceedings were closed. Four cases were terminated because no attachable assets were found, and six because the Kazan Court declared him bankrupt. Gagarin Cup winner Lukoyanov had officially gone bankrupt at the end of 2024.
Currently, bailiffs are seeking to collect a total of more than 800,000 rubles from the former hockey player under only two enforcement cases. The forward, who wore the Ak Bars jersey for 13 seasons, played 780 KHL games, recording 90 goals and 111 assists, and won the Gagarin Cup with the team in 2018. Ak Bars announced in early August that Lukoyanov had left the team due to personal issues.
