Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov said the most realistic option for ending the fighting between Russia and Ukraine would be to implement a ceasefire along the de facto front line that emerges on the day an agreement is reached.
According to Budanov, such a ceasefire could be possible if Ukraine receives security guarantees. He said Ukraine would not legally recognize that it had renounced its territories and would not take such a step.
Budanov also said that if Russia continues the fighting, Ukraine’s attacks on Russian territory would become more intense and reach deeper into the country.
