British press debates the inadequacy of Royal Navy's HMS Tyne after encounter with Russian frigate 'Neustrashimy'. The Telegraph stated that the two ships are incomparable, and urged the British government to boost naval strength.
Sky News reported that the Russian frigate 'Neustrashimy' conducted an exercise about 40 nautical miles south of Plymouth. The British Navy monitored the drill. After the Russian crew briefed the British ship on the maneuvers, HMS Tyne withdrew to a safe distance. The exercise, held in international waters, lasted half an hour.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed the same day that all activities of Russian warships are carried out in compliance with international maritime law.
