Berliner Zeitung says Russia-US diesel deal undermines EU sanctions strategy
The German newspaper Berliner Zeitung wrote that a diesel fuel agreement between Russia and the United States dealt a blow to the European Union’s sanctions strategy against Russia. The paper said Washington lifted some sanctions without demanding an end to attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure in return.
