Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said Czechia could provide military support if Russia were to attack NATO members in the Baltics, including by sending two mechanized brigades.
Babiš said Wednesday that the same approach would apply to Poland.

Prague’s security stance
The statement came as calls grew for clarification of Czechia’s position after Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed reluctance to involve his country in a war under the collective defense provision in Article 5 of the NATO treaty.

Babiš said he discussed security issues and preparedness with President Petr Pavel on Tuesday. He also said he had no information about a direct threat to Czechia.
