Aliyev puts Southeast Asia high on Azerbaijan’s foreign policy agenda
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a press conference with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet that Southeast Asia is among his country’s foreign policy priorities. Aliyev said Azerbaijan and Cambodia continue to cooperate in international organizations and that trade and investment issues should be discussed.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a press conference with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet that Southeast Asia is one of the priority regions in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.
Aliyev said Azerbaijan’s location between Asia and Europe contributes to the development of transport links and that Azerbaijan maintains close cooperation with Cambodia.
Aliyev said political relations between Azerbaijan and Cambodia are strong. He noted that the two countries support each other in international organizations and highlighted their cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement, the United Nations and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.
The Azerbaijani President emphasized that issues related to trade and investment between the two countries should also be addressed.
