A suspect in a 48 million-ruble theft has been detained in Moscow
A suspect in the theft of 48 million rubles from a private home in the Leninskoye settlement of Vyborg District in the Leningrad Region was detained in Moscow. Police are investigating the possible involvement of the homeowner’s daughter, potential accomplices and the suspect’s connection to similar thefts.
The person detained on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow is the focus of an investigation into the theft of 48 million rubles from a private home in the Leninskoye settlement of Vyborg District in the Leningrad Region.
Police received information about the incident on Monday. A criminal investigation was launched under subparagraph "b" of paragraph 4 of Article 158 of the Russian Criminal Code on suspicion of theft.
As part of the investigation, police are examining whether the homeowner’s daughter may have helped the suspect. Her connection to the incident has not yet been established.
In addition to the detained person, police teams are investigating potential accomplices. The investigation is also examining the suspect’s possible connection to similar thefts.
