The Belgorod region on Russia's border with Ukraine saw a series of attacks by Ukrainian drones. Regional officials reported three civilians killed and many wounded in the attacks.
A drone attack on a commercial area in Novosadovyi village killed one and wounded another. In Belyanka village, a body was found after an attack on a business. Nine people had been wounded in an earlier attack on this village.
A drone strike on a vehicle in Romashovka village also killed one person. In the town of Shebekino, an attack on an intercity bus left 19 passengers wounded.

Acting Governor Shuvayev Provides Figures and Assessment
Alexander Shuvayev, acting governor of Belgorod region, said in a weekend statement that more than half of the 20,800 Ukrainian drone attacks thwarted by Russian air defense systems in 2026 occurred in the last two months.
Shuvayev said residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, commercial areas, and public spaces were targets of "chaotic" attacks, adding, "There is no military logic in these attacks. The enemy's goal is to create panic, sow tension, and disrupt the work of emergency and utility services."
