Ukrainian drone attacks caused casualties in Russia’s Bryansk and Belgorod regions and Crimea. At least 4 people were killed and 18 injured in the attacks carried out Tuesday night.
A 39-year-old man was killed when a fuel station in the city of Starodub in the Bryansk region was targeted. Acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said 3 people were injured in the attack.
In Belgorod, Acting Governor Aleksandr Shuvaev said 1 person was killed and 4 injured in what he described as a targeted attack in one of the region’s border districts. Shuvaev also said 112 attacks had been carried out in the region over the previous 24 hours.
Claims that Ukrainian drones had targeted an oil refinery operated by Rosneft in the Saratov region remained unverified. Regional Governor Roman Busargin said residential buildings had instead been damaged and 10 people, including 3 children, were injured.
Sergey Aksyonov, the leader of the Russian-appointed administration in Crimea, announced that 2 people were killed and 1 injured in a drone attack near Simferopol. Russia’s Defense Ministry also said that 384 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted over Russia and Crimea between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, at least 2 people were killed in Kyiv after Russia resumed attacks on the Ukrainian capital. The attacks in Kyiv took place after the end of a three-day ceasefire that coincided with the resumption of talks aimed at ending the war.
