Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke on Monday, Oct. 12, at the opening of the Warsaw Security Forum. “Russia wants to dominate Ukraine, and we know it will not stop there. Russia wants to rebuild the security architecture in Europe,” he said.
“Let’s call it what it is. Russia wants to destroy the existing security architecture in Europe so that Russian dominance can return to where it was before 1989,” Tusk added.
According to the Polish prime minister, Russia is fighting for dominance, while Ukraine is fighting for survival. Tusk urged “every patriot” to support Ukraine, stressing that the path to peace does not run through weakness. At the same time, he gave assurances that no one wants either escalation or war.

Forum held under ‘United We Stand’ slogan
