Tokyo, the capital of Japan, has started examining files related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs) observed around Japan, released by the Pentagon. These files mention an abnormal object shaped like an American football being observed.
About 160 files previously released in the US include observations recorded by military units, NASA, and other institutions since the 1940s. Among the files are videos believed to have been taken near Japan.
Japan's Prime Minister's spokesperson Minoru Kihara announced that he personally reviewed the released footage. In response to a journalist's question about whether similar materials from the Defense Ministry would be disclosed to the public, he stated that decisions would be evaluated separately for each specific case.
Kihara expressed that various factors, such as whether Japan's intelligence-gathering capacity would be revealed, would be considered in the decision to make a statement. Therefore, it is not yet clear when and how all or part of the files will be shared.
The review process and official announcements to be made are among the important developments to be followed in terms of Japan's defense and security policies. Official statements on the matter in the coming period are eagerly awaited.
