The Golden Beaches of Russia federal resort project in Crimea and the Russian Geographical Society signed a cooperation agreement in Moscow on October 7.
The document was signed by Artyom Manukyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Geographical Society, and Vadim Volchenko, the resort’s general manager. The agreement aims to protect Crimea’s natural diversity and historical heritage, strengthen tourism infrastructure and develop informational activities for visitors.
Agreement covers scientific and cultural projects
The parties will provide mutual support in selecting experts and speakers for scientific and cultural education programs, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops and competitions. Promoting tourism routes, as well as archaeological and cave tourism itineraries, is also among the joint initiatives.

Manukyan said that contributing to the development of domestic tourism in Russia was among the Russian Geographical Society’s priorities and stated that the agreement would lay the foundation for long-term projects. He said they attached particular importance to the concept of a museum complex dedicated to the Yevpatoria Landing.
Volchenko also said the project would require the support of the Russian Geographical Society’s staff and experts, and thanked the organization.
Museum complex planned for Yevpatoria Landing
One of the partnership’s main areas will be developing the concept for a museum complex dedicated to the Yevpatoria Landing. The facility is planned to be built on the grounds of the Golden Beaches of Russia resort, near the monument to the naval landing forces.
Project capacity and investment plan
The federal project in Crimea is being carried out under the Five Seas and Lake Baikal federal project and the Tourism and Hospitality national project, at the direction of the President of Russia.

The resort, planned for an area of more than 230 hectares along the coastline between the cities of Saki and Yevpatoria, will include 19 hotels in the three- to five-star categories and two hotels for staff.
The project is also expected to include a water park with indoor and outdoor sections, an amusement park, a congress and exhibition center, and other facilities. The total room capacity is expected to reach 9,700, while annual tourist capacity is projected to reach 1 million.
The resort project, which is expected to attract approximately 143 billion rubles in investment, is scheduled to open its first phase in 2030.
