Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev stated in an interview with RIA Novosti that there are no forecasts suggesting the June cold will negatively affect the harvest.
"There is no forecast that this situation could negatively affect the harvest. We have calmly entered the harvesting phase and will implement the plan."
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture had planned a total of 83 million hectares of sown area for the 2025-2026 season. Of this, approximately 56 million hectares were allocated for spring crops. In May, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut stated that there were risks in reaching the 83 million hectare target, but the regions have not lowered their own forecasts.
