Artillery units of Russia's 'Sever' (Northern) military group reported striking over 20 military targets in Ukraine's Sumy region over the past two weeks.
An artillery commander with the call sign 'Temny' stated in a statement that the attacks used 130 mm caliber M-46 towed howitzers. The commander said, 'Over the past two weeks, targets have come one after another. Reconnaissance units identified drone command posts, and we struck these points with fragmentation shells.'
The struck targets included fortified positions consisting of concrete blocks, bunkers and trenches, as well as military vehicle convoys and infantry concentrations in wooded areas. The report noted that the Ukrainian side suffered serious losses and a significant reduction in its military capabilities in this direction.
