Paraguay opens Latin America's doors to Russian business

Paraguay opens Latin America's doors to Russian business

Paraguay issued an investment call to Russian business, highlighting its potential to become a production base in Latin America. The country's Ambassador to Moscow, Victor Hugo Peña Bareiro, told RIA Novosti that they offer great opportunities for Russian investors.

The ambassador said, "Paraguay is a place that offers great opportunities for investors, especially Russian investors and those from other countries. It provides strong legal security and has a very orderly economy."

Peña Bareiro stressed that the country offers low costs and an efficient tax system for business, and expressed hope that Russian investors would see Paraguay as "an ideal place to locate their investments."

The ambassador added, "Therefore, it would be ideal to set up a company in Paraguay, create a kind of hub there, and from there trade with the markets of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay." The statement came on the sidelines of the Latin American and Caribbean Culture Festival.
