One worker dies in mine accident after truck overturns in Kemerovo
One worker died after a dump truck overturned at a mine enterprise in the Kemerovo region. A criminal case was opened for violation of industrial safety rules.
A worker died in an accident that occurred on June 21, 2026 at a mine enterprise in the Tisul district of Russia's Kemerovo region. According to a statement from the spokesman of the Kemerovo Region Investigative Committee, a dump truck driver was loading at the depot of the crushing plant when the vehicle overturned, and an enterprise employee died at the scene.
The statement said the accident occurred due to a violation of the technological process. The investigative authorities opened a criminal case under Article 217 of the Russian Criminal Code on the grounds of violation of industrial safety requirements.
The investigation continues as inspections regarding the incident proceed under the supervision of the regional investigative department management.
