Kazakhstan officially denied claims that its territory was used in drone attacks on Russia. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that such reports in some media outlets do not reflect the truth.
The ministry statement said: "Recently, provocative statements have been circulating in some media outlets suggesting that the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan may have been used to launch drones used in attacks on targets in the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan responsibly declares that these statements do not reflect reality and are not confirmed by any data or facts."
The statement noted that such claims are baseless insinuations aimed at disrupting the traditional friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, and that they seek to cast a shadow over the comprehensive strategic partnership and spirit of alliance between the two countries.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry reiterated that the country pursues a peaceful, balanced and responsible foreign policy, adhering to the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs. It stressed strict adherence to international law and security obligations, and reiterated that Kazakhstan's territory, airspace and infrastructure cannot be used for actions against other states.
The ministry included the statement: "We call on media representatives and other individuals to rely only on verified facts and to refrain from spreading unreliable information."
