Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi convened with the ambassadors of Russia and China in Tehran to evaluate recent developments regarding the draft agreement being negotiated through Pakistan.
Gharibabadi announced the meeting on his social media account, affirming that coordination between Iran, China, and Russia will continue.
The discussion focused on the latest status of contacts conducted via the Islamabad channel. The meeting took place amid intensified diplomatic consultations reportedly ongoing between Iran and the United States.
Gharibabadi emphasized that the strategic partnership and mutual coordination among Iran, China, and Russia will persist strongly.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that the parties involved in the Iran-US talks have reached a closer stage than ever before. Sharif noted that the agreement could be finalized within 24 hours, followed by electronic signing and technical-level discussions.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi indicated that an initial understanding might be announced in the coming days, though the process is not yet complete. Araghchi explained that the framework under consideration aims to consolidate Iran's strategic gains and is centered around a 14-point draft agreement.
The contacts in Tehran revealed that the Iran-Russia-China axis is seeking coordination not only on bilateral matters but also on regional issues. The outcome of the negotiations conducted through Islamabad will become clear in the coming days.
