U.S. President Donald Trump hosted an official diplomatic reception in New York for world leaders during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Heads of state and government, government delegations and accompanying spouses who were in New York for the high-level week of General Assembly meetings attended Tuesday night's event.
The reception was held at the Lotte New York Palace hotel on Madison Avenue in Manhattan's Midtown district.
The event was closed entirely to the press, and no information was provided about the bilateral meetings held there, participants' statements or the guest list.
The annual reception, held during the first days of the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly, serves as a traditional diplomatic gathering between visiting world leaders and the host country.
