Ukraine says it targeted Taneco refinery in Russia’s Tatarstan
The Ukrainian army said it targeted the Taneco oil refinery in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan. The Tatarstan administration said 13 people were killed and 39 injured in a drone attack on industrial facilities and civilian infrastructure in Nizhnekamsk.

The Ukrainian army said the Taneco oil refinery in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan had been targeted. The Ukrainian army said attacks on targets inside Russia continued throughout the night.
It said that, in addition to the refinery in Nizhnekamsk, logistics centers belonging to the Russian army in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions were also targeted.
Different positions on ending the war
The war between Russia and Ukraine has continued since February 24, 2022. Russia is demanding that Kyiv abandon plans to join Western military formations as a condition for ending the war.
Ukraine views Russia’s approach as interference in its internal affairs.
