The organization's regional goals
The Organization of Turkic States was established on October 3, 2009, with the aim of turning relations among Turkic-speaking states into partnerships in the fields of geopolitics, economics and security. The organization adopted its current name in 2021.

The organization's "Turkic World Vision 2040" document aims to transform member states into a stronger regional power politically, economically, culturally and socially. It envisions the gradual free movement of goods, capital, services, technology and human resources among member states.
The organization also aims to transform the Middle Corridor into the world's fastest, safest and lowest-cost logistics route. Joint investments in renewable energy and smart energy grids, along with coordinated action in response to regional and global crises, are among its strategic priorities.
Transport and energy cooperation stand out
Türkiye and Azerbaijan cooperate in the fields of defense, energy, transport, media and technology. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which connects Asia and Europe, is one of the key elements of transport cooperation between the two countries.
With the contribution of the Middle Corridor, Türkiye and Kazakhstan are turning their historic ties into a strategic economic partnership while developing cooperation in artificial intelligence, innovation, space studies and mining. In relations with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the Middle Corridor, international transport routes, energy, mining, free zones, digital trade and mutual investments stand out.
